The Japanese held a code of honor; they would fight until they died or killed themselves, never surrendering. This website provided much information on this topic. The atrocities Japan committed included mass killings, where 10,000 to 300,000 losers were massacred by Japanese soldiers and generals. Another thing that the Japanese did was perform horrible experiments on prisoners, such as vivisection, infection with diseases and chopping off frozen arms of victims. The Japanese raped various woman, then shot them and left them dying on the streets. Some woman even were tied to beds for convenience. Another thing they did was torture many people. This article displayed an interview between a few soldiers who were part of a death march to a prison camp. They discussed how grueling the death camp was; how they shot anybody slowing down the march and depraved the prisoners from food and water. They explained how abusive officers were, having the prisoners line up in the hot sun for hours and shooting people for no reason.
